Legislative Provisions
Provided governmental entity may not enter into a contract with any financial institution that discriminates against any firearm entity or firearm trade association.
Contract must contain provisions for termination of contract within one year of governmental entity’s determination that violation of requirements had occurred.
Governmental entity must terminate business relationship with financial institution in a commercially reasonable manner within one year of determination violation occurred.
Requirements do not apply if a governmental contracts with a sole source provider.
Financial institution that does business or has a contract with this state may not discriminate against a firearm entity, firearm trade association because firearm entity.
Firearm trade association supports or is engaged in lawful commerce of firearms.
Not apply to financial institution chooses not provide services to firearm entity, firearm trade association for business or financial reason, written policy prohibit discrimination.
