BRZ GVT issued Decree 12.561 to regulate Article 1 of Law 15.077, re mandatory biometric registration for granting, maintenance, renewal of social security benefits.
Granting, maintenance, renewal of social security benefits are subject to a biometric registration of applicant, benefit holder, legal guardian in gvt. biometric databases.
Highlights
Joint act will provide for waiver of requirement for biometric registration for granting of social security benefits while Public Authority does not set implementation conditions.
In accordance with provisions of Art. 1, sole paragraph, of Law 15.077, of Dec. 2024.
Biometric verification enabled with Public Digital Infrastructure for Civil Identification.
Effectiveness
Decree 12.561 shall come into force 120 days after publication date.
