Bill Provisions
A long-term care insurance policy in ND must clearly define specific terms if used.
Specifies what qualifies as activities of daily living; specifies cognitive impairment.
Insurers must provide a copy of the policy to the insured within 30 days of a request.
Policies cannot deny or delay benefits to licensed basic care facility if insured qualifies for medically necessary services or cognitive impairment needing constant supervision.
Or if the insured cannot perform at least two activities of daily living without help.
