IDN FSA issued POJK 19/2025 on Ease of access to financing for micro, small, and medium enterprises (POJK UMKM) to empower MSMEs to increase resilience, growth.
Follows IDN FSA May 2025 reported on financial sector stability and policies, #254097.
MSME Financing
Banks and non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) are encouraged to provide easy access to credit or financing for MSMEs that is easy, precise, fast, and affordable.
They are expected to present a more innovative approach to providing financial products tailored to the needs of each MSME segment.
These include special policies for financing distribution, such as simplifying requirements or making it easier to assess the eligibility of MSMEs.
In addition, special financing schemes according to business characteristics, including acceptance of collateral in the form of intellectual property.
As well as acceleration of business processes, determining reasonable financing costs.
Emphasizes implementation of governance and risk management in MSME financing.
Every bank and NBFI is required to develop a financing distribution plan for MSMEs and report its implementation to IDN FSA.
Effectiveness
POJK UMKM was promulgated on Sep. 2, 2025 and takes effect two months from date of promulgation, on Nov. 2, 2025.
