On Mar. 5, 2024, HWI LEG issued tenthemergency proclamation (EP) re wildfires.
Superseded ninth emergency proclamation related to wildfires, issued Jan. 5, 2024.
Removed price freezes for all commodities except rentals of residential dwellings.
Provided exception from price freeze on residential dwelling rentals for housing subject to regulatory agreements relating to rent increase (may increase per agreement).
Changed suspension of HWI LEG Ch. 6E to allow for construction of temporary housing for displaced victims with approval of State historic preservation division.
Suspended HWI LEG 467-7 so that operators of state-owned temporary lodging for displaced victims, those assisting with recovery do not require real estate license.
Suspended sections on claims HWI LEG 37-77, compromise HWI LEG 662-11, to allow HWI AG to settle claims through One 'Ohana fund without legislative approval.
Disaster emergency relief period established by 10th EP extends through May 4, 2024.
