SBA Disaster Loans for North Dakota

  • SBA Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) available to North Dakota small businesses to offset economic damages caused by drought beginning on Aug. 29, 2023.
  • Eligibility
  • Loans available in primary ND counties Benson, Bottineau, Cavalier, McHenry, Pierce, Ramsey, Rolette and Towner; Neighboring North Dakota counties: Eddy, and McLean.
  • Also available in Nelson, Pembina, Renville, Sheridan, Walsh, Ward and Wells counties.
  • Disaster Loans available of up to $2 million to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met had the disaster not occurred.
  • Relief Available
  • Covers both economic impact on businesses dependent on farmers and ranchers that have suffered agricultural production losses, businesses directly impacted by disaster.
  • Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofit organizations any size may qualify for EIDLs.
  • Loans may be up to $2 million to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met had the disaster not occurred.
  • Eligibility based on financial impact of disaster only, and not on actual damage.
  • Application Deadline
  • Completed EIDL loan applications must be submitted to SBA by May 6, 2024.
