  • Eligibility
  • Covers Will County, adjacent Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kankakee, Kendall, ILL; Lake, IN.
  • For small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofits, SBA offers Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs).
  • EIDLs are intended to help meet working capital needs caused by the disaster and aid is available regardless of whether the business suffered any physical damage.
  • Loans up to $500,000 are available to homeowners to repair damaged real estate.
  • Homeowners eligible for up to $100,000 to repair damaged personal property.
  • Applicants may be eligible for loan amount increase up to 20% for mitigation purposes.
  • Eligible mitigation improvements may include a safe room or storm shelter, sump pump, French drain or retaining wall to help protect property. occupants from damage.
  • Application Deadlines
  • Applications for physical damage due May 13, 2024; for EIDLs due Dec. 13, 2024.
